Our Laughing Owl 4 is an ultralight and spacious 4-person family tent. This 3-season tunnel tent has generous standing height and a large vestibule with 3 large transparent windows for panoramic views, excellent ventilation and overall comfort. It is especially suitable for family car camping trips and even kayaking or bike-touring trips thanks to its walk-in vestibule, which is large enough to store bikes overnight.

Technology:

PFC-Free DWR:
– PFC (perfluorocarbon) is mainly used in outdoor applications when a water-repellent effect is required (impregnation). Harmful PFCs such as, PFOS (perfluorooctane sulphonic acid) and PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) accumulate in the environment and organisms, which has a lasting negative effect on them. Since the water-repellent characteristics of BACH textiles are of central importance for the use of our products, we are now using the PFC-free alternative from HeiQ Eco Dry. Not far from us in Switzerland, HeiQ is developing this technology, which has been successfully established in a wide spectrum of textile applications in recent years. At BACH, we therefore guarantee a long-lasting and sustainable impregnation of all textiles used.

Color Coding:
– The tent poles, pole channels and corresponding loops are colour coded, which allows for a quick and intuitive pitching of the tent, as well as assisting when pitching in the dark.

Trx Eco Duralumin Aluminum Poles:
– For all aluminum poles, we rely on a special eco-duralumin alloy. No toxic sulfur hexafluoride and sulfur dioxide have been used. Both these materials are classified as materials causing the destruction of the ozone layer, which is one of the reasons for global warming. We use TRX Airlite poles in our tents and chairs, which are made of Hi-strength Eco Duralumin alloy.
